How To: Download and Import an Application into Byte


Step 1
From the Welcome screen of your BPM; select the “Pipeline" button to view your pipeline.

Step 2:

Select the application you would like to download and then select “Download to LOS" from the drop-down menu and hit “Go".


Step 3:

You can review the Borrowers Information and then click the “Download Now" button at the bottom and to the right to begin the download process.

You will see a "File Download" dialog box appear. Select the button that reads Save".

Step 4:
You will then be prompted by the following Save as... Dialog. Type in the file name for the application in the area labeled File name:" You must end the file name with .fnm or your loan processing software may not show the file when you attempt to import it.

Pay very special attention to where you are saving the file. You will want to navigate to your Byte Data folder which is usually located under "My Documents" then "BytePro". Once you are there, you will want to double-click the "Files" folder, then double-click the correct Files subfolder - Active Files, Closed Files, etc. Active Files is for your current loans.

Step 5:
After you have entered a file name and it's location, click the Save button and you will momentarily see the File Download status.
You will then see the "Download Complete Box" you have successfully downloaded the application. You will now need to import the application.

Importing Instructions:

1. Click New on the tool bar. Click OK on the Status screen, if necessary, to close any open files. 
2. From Import Source, choose Fannie Mae File. 
3. To apply a template file at the same time, choose from the Template file dropdown. 
4. Fill out the rest of the screen, as needed. 
5. Click OK. 
6. Browse to the location of the fannie mae file. 
7. Double-click the file. The BytePro file will open with the imported fannie mae file information. 

Your new application should now be imported. If you receive any errors, it could be because the application was not filled out properly or completely.
